The movie melted

Hi folks, the title is really true, after a great day, I can't finished the movie because Cinecenta had technical problems and the movie melted, the good new is I received two tickets for another day, the bad news is this movie is out of programming after tomorrow, and I don't know if they have another copy to tomorrow's session.
And tomorrow I have others things to do, so it's possible then I try to download the movie. Another facts of my day: I like my first electives day, I like my teacher(she's the same for both electives), but she is kind crazy(I won't talk much about this because I will give her this journal =P ). Big Friday

I have big plans for tomorrow, will be a long day. Starts with my first day of elective classes, after lunch happens the 'Welcome Party', my friend Hoon already told me it isn't a real party, just tea and cookies. I want play soccer at Topaz Park in the afternoon, and I will, if doesn't rain. And after dinner, back to UVic to watch 'Waste Land' in the movie theater. But first I have to finish my homework and go to sleep. My best to Will and Kate. XD

My classmates

Today I will talk about my classmates, three of them moved for morning, was Goun and Justin(Koreans) and Edgar(Mexican), for their place come Q, Jane and Sophie(all Koreans). Koreans is the most people in the class, Yejin, my friend (see photo at other post) is Korean to, like Jeremy, Jae and Nain. 7 of 17, too many Korean, and the teachers doesn't like students of the same country work together, so every time we have to chance our seats. There are four Japanese girls, Saori, Yumi, Aki and Hiroka, one Chinese, April, and one from Taiwan, Mei. For coincidence Mei do a lot of the work in class with me. End with the people with tiny eyes. From Venezuela is Maria, and from Mexico, Carlos. With me, three latins. And for last Ibrahim of Saudi Arabia.

In the overtime of game 7, finally, Vancouver beats Chicago and go ahead in playoffs.

Today I bought a grammar book, for over studies and can improve my English. And bought also two dictionaries, now I have to use all that.
And because the game I will do my homework 10h30pm, so, for tomorrow I post something more interesting, because for today I can't. Go Canucks!!

Monday still is Easter

Well, do you know a day that you don't want do anything? This Monday explains exactly what I'm talking about, I do laundry, and fixed my gloves, do my homework and watch TV, but looks like I don't do nothing. Was raining and this cold weather don't let me go out the house. Next weekend will be better, I'm a volunteer in a running, something to do with my Sunday morning. xoxo.

Red Sox wins and Sao Paulo wins

Great Easter, both of my teams win and I have plans for tonight, I will go in a Mexican Restaurant with my friends, Felipe e Carolines, because there are two of them. I received a lot of little chocolate eggs, and two chocolate bunnies, was Barb who gave me, unfortunately I don't have anything to give for her. I'm too stupid, happens. Now I go, because I have to take a shower. Happy Easter.

Makes plans is hard

Today, like I told yesterday, I went to downtown to make the plan to the trip to Seattle. I went to Starbucks, to use the wi-fi(free) and meet my friend Yejin(see the photo).

The Asians are sharp one the time, so in the combined schedule there she is. We made some research, now we have to wait the answers for the other friends, who still no know if them will go. I played a few baseball today, it's nice. For sox's fans, already four wins in a roll, if Crawford finds his spot we could make a great season. I haven't class in Monday,  will play soccer again, now the weather is better, let enjoy, maybe get colder, maybe not. Kisses.

What day is today?

After a Thursday looks like a Friday, a Friday looks like a Saturday. I woke up late, because yesterday I came at home 1am, I was in downtown, go out with my friends, after an afternoon in the UVic's pub, where we watched the hockey. And today I played soccer, was a good day. Now just rest, all my homework is done tomorrow I will meet Yejin in downtown to make the plans for our trip to Seattle, in two weeks. See ya.

Another day, another post

I have just a ordinary day, so I will go write about Canada and the Canadians, it's a country where you can receive a ticket to jaywalker. A country where people use a helmet, not because it's safe, but because is the law, I'm in a country with laws. I don't need to took off my hand of my pocket to stop the bus, if I'm stand in bus stop, the drive knows I'm in there to pick up the bus, and he stops. For some reason I started the alarm of a store, I guess is because my jacket, that I bought in Brazil and didn't pull the label, but nobody ran and stop me, nothing. I think they don't believes in thief. It's a polite city, you must to say "thank you" when you leave the bus.And the walking have preference. They look angry when you waiting for the car, It's obvious that's you turn, why you don't cross yet? If I try explain as in my country I will be hit by the car if I cross, they probably don't will understand.

I hate Monday

It's Monday and I had to wake up early because a orientation witch I can't did last week. So I went to UVic 9h00, and receive my orientation that allowing me to use the computers of university, and use my notebook too, by wire-less. After that I went to my first pronunciation class, but was orientations again. Lunch time, and I found my friend Taka and go with him to lunch at SUB (student union building) it's kind a "palquinho", only much better. In there I warmed my sandwich in a microwave, it's free for use, and ate with Taka and your friends, three girls, he isn't silly. After that: class, sit, take off homework, respond to attendance, all those things I don't do for a long time. 3h00 break, fifteen minutes to walk around in ELC, talk with Caroline and others. End break, another class, I received my first result, and I am the worst student in grammar of my class, 51%, the average was 62,5% so I have to study grammar a lot, and I dislike grammar in Portuguese, in English is worse. Seriously, I will study grammar for real, I promise. I could do everything witch was in my "to do" list so it's a good day. For tomorrow: laundry. Try not ruin all my clothes. Bye bye.

Saturday nite in downtown

Yesterday I finally go out in Victoria at night, and, it's not a big deal, some clubs, some pubs, there is no crowd, no rush, really it's a small town. So I walk a couple blocks at the Douglas st and come in Brown's Social House

a fine place with beautiful waitresses, over there I drank two beers, "kokanne" and "coors light", isn't the same thing than Brazilian beers, but is drinkable. The second one is better than first one, but that's means nothing, happens when I drink two times the same beer. Tomorrow starts for real. I have activities in the morning and in the afternoon. Yesterday I used skype first time, spoke with Lu, and after I "spoke" with my family, somehow, I can't hear they, and just saw a little, there's no problem, maybe next time works right. Big hug.

My new glove!!

I bought a new glove, a Mizuno one, and a leather wire to repair my old glove, oil for glove too, because here I don't bring vaseline (LOL), I bought other things, a little gift for the BS-UFSCar team. My upset is now I will have to buy a suitcase bigger, because I have more luggage now. It's not a big problem, it's already in my plans, I just grumbling around. All my homework was than, now I have to find something to do with my Saturday night, if I stay at home, forever alone, will be to sad. Oh my throat

After a tired day, I am in my pajamas watching hockey, Vancouver X Chicago, hockey in canada is a national passion, I not in a good mood, because my baseball team lose, at home, in Jackie Robinson Day, and I late for soccer, just play for ten minutes, my throad is in a bad state and I can't stop cough.Finnaly I bought a adaptor for my eletric shaver, but isn't easy, first I bought the wrong one, and Felipe will goes goofy me about that for a long time. I want to find something to do in weekend, maybe go to the movies, or go out for a drink, I need ideas. I have to stop of read the emails of team, think about "botusanca", "tufscar", "churras do issao", give me homesick of sanca. A big hug for all member of BS-UFSCar, "more than a team".

492 - upper intermediate

I don't know how they get this number, but I scored that so I'm able to: speaking and writing effectively to express critical thinking processes and raising comprehension level where translation is no longer required.
What a lie!!! I hope can do what I need to do in that class. Today I find out who will be my classmates and there are 16 people and just one I already talk, Yejin, my korean friend (no japanese!!!!) she studies interior desingner and knows draw. I didn't write yesterday because I was in the UVic's pub until late time, I drank with Taka and two brazilians who is in there, Claudino e Camila, very crazy people!! Tomorrow I will play soccer with my buds at Topaz Park. I hope don't be a claudy day. Kisses.

the second day

Today I have another test, but I don't talk about that. I wait for two hours to make the test. But in this time I make my second japanese friend, no, my third, I don't no why but all my friends is japanese, strange, maybe be homesick, my second is Yuka, we take the same bus yesterday and today, she is sweet and I hope to see her tomorrow at the bus stop, but I know that's not gonna happend, because I don't have to go to UVic tomorrow morning, so I maybe go to downtown, try buy a couple things. Back to my third japanese friend, her name is shoko and we spend our two hours of waiting chat and I knew a person who came for here for never lives, she is engaged with a canadian guy. It's a funny history. So that's all for morning, so I went to lunch, I forgot to pick a juice box so I bought a pepsi, a lime pepsi, but it's to sweet and I can't drank all the bottle. At end of lunch a japanese (4, don't miscalculate) sit with me, there are no more than ten brazilians, but we are so loudly, more then one hundred if japanese and chinese, and Taka already knew I'm a brazilian and he's a big soccer fan and wants to play someday, and we talk about soccer and baseball, and japanese culture, so after lunch we have a orientacion, and he inveted me for walk on downtown after that, and I went, see the harbour

and go a second hand store and a one dollar store and go to the mall, it's a cool walk, not only me and Taka, but more three japanese, and when something happens they start to speak japanese, was hard to talk with they at the street, sometimes we don't understand what the other talks, but isn't a problem. Someone talk to my mom and make she knows I'm ok, thanks.

My frist day

I have a great monday, I woke up early and took my breakfast, caught the bus to uvic. But, like always, I came to soon, then I had to wait in cold weather for a quarter, I was wearing a second skin plus a t-shirt plus a sueter plus a jacket, and I really fell like an ice. The first thing for the day was do a test, a slep test. I think I do fine, but tests never me a problem, if a had to wrote a report I was screwed. It is amazing the number of eastern in my course. Obviously I found brazilians, about ten of us, but far from more then one hundread japanese and chinese. 

Nyy x Bos

Go sox, hello everyone, here is a happy sox fan that bets in a season 155-7, we will not lose anymore. Enough of this, you are already get. Let talk about the family with i live now, barb is a lady-recipe, and she cooks and make me walk like 3 miles today, i now calculate in miles the distance, and tom is a sports-man, watch the game with me and cheers for my team. Victoria

At 2129 of pentlane road, I just finished unpacked and gonna write something, I hope my note no shutdown before I conclued, because it's very instable. Now here does 11 degrees, outside, in my bed room is fine. The arrive in Victoria is the worst for my ears, I never more travel by airplane, but how I go back to brasil? Forget about it. My cel fone is dead and I haven't another camera, so for while this blog there's no pictures. Bye.

Toronto

In newark to used the wireless you have to pay, chip bastards, now in toronto the wireless is free \o/, just more two hours to go, then more five and I finally will arrive in victoria. I have sure now, my ear is a barometer, I fell minimus differece of pression, I will buy a gum, maybe helps. Next post will be write in my homestay, miss you people, I would have gone to barbecue in yakuza yesterday, but I can't get all.

Now In English

Why? Because I travel to pratice and I have to do that. Like in the airplane, all
movies those a assist, I do without subtitles. Just ate my first sandwich of egg,
bacon and cheese. Try to connect to internet, but here there is no such thing like
wi-fi free zone, it's a shame. I have still six more hours to my fly to toronto,

Viajei

Passei pelo check-in, passei pelo raio-x, peguei fila, achei meu lugar. E dai o que
acontece, o obvio, o passageiro do meu lado é um gordo, não só um gordo como um
gordo agitado. Alguem duvidou que isso ia acontecer? Decolagem tranquila e começo a
ver um filme, as 1as 3 cenas são de uma menina jogando soft, legal, pensei. dai ela
sai da selecao e o filme nao fala mais de soft, e é muito chato, pelo menos me fez
dormir um pouco. Não recomendo "how do you know" da reese whiterspoon(??).  Aterrizagem
tranquila, tirando o fato que dos 10k para 2k parecia que estavam enfiando uma espada
no meu ouvido. Cheguei em Newark.

Quase tudo certo

Falta só fazer a barba, fazer a mala, receber o dinheiro, e viajar. nao vejo a hora.
